About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cencora. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain new prescription refill information from customers, including name, address, and health coverage.
  • Label products under the supervision of a Pharmacist, count medications, stock medication on shelves, and assist customers on the telephone and in person.
  • Retrieve, count, and measure drugs, and assist the Pharmacist with patient consultations regarding medications or supplies prescribed.
  • Assist the Pharmacist in price checking and restocking of drugs, and access, input, and retrieve prescription information from the computer.
  • Refer doctors' calls and customers' medical inquiries to the Pharmacist, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar vocations, typically obtained through completion of a two-year Associate's Degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires one to two years of directly related and progressively responsible experience, may be nationally certified, and must be unrestricted and either licensed or registered in the resident state as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints, and resolve customer issues quickly and creatively to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services, and drug interactions, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good analytical skills.
