About the Role

We are actively seeking a dedicated Journeyman Tool and Die Maker to join and grow in the PPG organization. This role is an opportunity to support the manufacturing of critical hardware to key defense programs, supporting missions to space and providing access for global travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to produce, modify, and maintain dies, jigs, fixtures, and special tooling specific to the production of aerospace & defense components.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards required in the aerospace & defense industry by maintaining and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Operate various machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machinery to produce high-precision aerospace parts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker, preferably in the aerospace or precision manufacturing industries.
  • Technical training or a degree in Tool and Die Making, Machining, or a related field is preferred.
  • Expert level reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
  • Strong experience setting up and operating manual and CNC machining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of various metals and alloys used in aerospace & defense tool and die making.
