About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Member Service Representative to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and Resolve Issues: You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving issues related to member accounts and loans, ensuring that all discrepancies are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with Product Sales: You will assist members with submitting applications for consumer, mortgage, and equity loans, as well as credit card applications.
- Counsel Members on Products and Services: You will counsel current and prospective members on Navy Federal's products and services, ensuring that they are aware of all available options.
- Ensure Compliance: You will ensure that all cash and negotiable instruments are handled properly, and that all federal and other regulations are complied with.
- Identify Cross-Selling Opportunities: You will identify opportunities to cross-sell products and increase product penetration, ensuring that members are aware of all available options.
- Perform Platform Banking Functions: You will perform platform banking functions, including assisting level I team members and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate with members and colleagues.
- Analytical Skills: You will possess strong analytical skills, able to analyze and resolve complex issues related to member accounts and loans.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You will possess strong problem-solving skills, able to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: You will be able to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: You will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and be flexible in your approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Member Service: You will have experience in member service, preferably in a call center, retail banking, or financial institution.
- Knowledge of Financial Products and Services: You will have knowledge of financial products and services, including savings and checking products, accounts, and services.
