IT Support Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT Support Services team as a Student Employee. As a member of our team, you will provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with password resets and connectivity issues
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
- Assign and manage tickets in our help-desk ticketing system
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as filling printers with paper and toner
- Collaborate with the Audio-Visual team to ensure smooth event execution
Requirements:
- Must be a currently enrolled Benedictine University student in good standing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Desire 2 Learn (D2L), and MyBenU
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Working Conditions:
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Training and Development:
Benedictine University is committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure our employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles. As a University employee, you will be required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA-related training to fulfill your job duties.
Location:
This position is located on the Lisle campus, with the possibility of working remotely in the future.
Hours and Scheduling:
The ideal candidate will be able to work between 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
