Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to design, manage, and implement manufacturing production projects within budgeted goals.
  • Manufacturing Automation: Lead the team in studying and implementing best automation practices to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • PLC Programming: Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to automate manufacturing processes.
  • Machine Vision: Implement machine vision solutions to automate robotics and inspection processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Production Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to drive continual improvements in CNC machining operations.
  • Manufacturing Floor Layout: Design and implement efficient manufacturing floor layouts and simulations.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with Engineering Student Work programs to teach and coach students through project study and implementation opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in project management and automation systems implementation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in applicable engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, CAD software), automation simulation software (e.g., Roboguide, Simio), and robotic language writing and communication (e.g., Fanuc Handling Tool).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, and lift 50lbs as required.
  • Work Environment: Exposed to elements such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, and fumes. Work time spent on the manufacturing floor and in an office setting.
