Automation Specialist

The Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in driving innovation and improvement in production processes at Kennedy Valve. This position requires a strong background in automation, mechatronics, and manufacturing engineering, with experience in project management and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and applicable software skills, including SolidWorks, Roboguide, and PLC programming.

• Lead the implementation of automation projects, including design, planning, and execution.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing automation systems, including PLC programming and machine vision solutions.
• Collaborate with production management, engineering, and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement in CNC machining operations.
• Work closely with engineering students and interns to teach and coach through project study and implementation opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in project management and leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Applicable software skills, including SolidWorks, Roboguide, and PLC programming.
• Experience with machine vision, including Fanuc 2D and 3D, and Keyence 2D and 3D.

The Automation Engineer will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with exposure to elements such as cold, heat, noise, dust, and odors. The position requires standing for extended periods, walking throughout the facility, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
