Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Chef/Floater to join our team at The Learning Experience. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare healthy meals that meet state nutritional requirements for children.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage to ensure efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Prepare and serve meals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to local health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless meal service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in food safety and nutrition.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; ECE coursework preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, or public school cafeteria.
  • Food service/food handler's permit or license according to state/local regulations.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
