We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor to join our academic faculty at Oklahoma State University. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more subjects within the osteopathic medical school and the biomedical sciences graduate curriculum, including preparing and delivering up-to-date, accurate content in the form of classroom lectures, problem-based learning sessions, case scenarios, and online modules.
  • Engage in curriculum planning and development of learning units related to microbiology and biochemistry.
  • Actively engage in the assessment of student learning.
  • Participate in course management and administration; serve as course co-coordinator as required.
  • Teach graduate courses in microbiology and biochemistry and other graduate courses as needed.
Research and Scholarship
  • Conduct independent research, intramural and extramural grant funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting board reviews, and active participation in professional society conference presentation.
  • Develop and implement research projects that align with the department's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field with specialized training, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience teaching effectively in medical education.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, and administration.
  • Strong interest in osteopathic medical and graduate education.
  • Accomplishments in scholarly activity.
