The University of California is seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Clinic Pharmacist to join our team in the Department of Pharmaceutical Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing pharmaceutical care to patients at various UCSF locations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including obtaining medication histories, reviewing and assessing medication profiles, and providing drug information to patients and healthcare providers.
- Consult with prescribers and recommend drugs of choice, ensuring access to medications and counseling patients on proper use and potential interactions.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to secure insurance authorizations and prepare and dispense prescription medications and pharmaceutical products.
- Participate in the Patient Management Program, clinical activities, and delivery of services as required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or equivalent degree as determined by the National Board of Pharmacy.
- Current license in good standing to practice pharmacy in the State of California.
- Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
