As a senior figure in the landscape architecture team, you will engage in a diverse array of private sector development projects, complemented by some municipal assignments. Your expertise will be pivotal in fostering the growth of the landscape architecture service line, leveraging your project management skills, guiding clients through all project stages, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and oversee project scopes, timelines, and budgets for land design, landscape architecture, and land use planning.
  • Manage client and contractor relationships, offering direction and service-oriented solutions.
  • Supervise the creation of landscape architectural drawings for all project phases across various scales.
  • Prepare and deliver project plan presentations to client representatives.
  • Engage in site assessments, conceptual development, and the preparation of construction details and documentation.
  • Guide junior team members and provide insights on technical specifications and landscape architecture standards.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, including proposal development, interviews, and presentations (encompassing proposal writing and scope and fee negotiations).

This role will primarily be based at our office, with occasional travel to client and project locations within the broader region.

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 15 years of experience in managing landscape architecture and land planning projects for development sites.
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning is preferred.
  • Wisconsin Landscape Architecture license or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
  • Experience in landscape design for site development projects.
  • Familiarity with land planning for both public and private sectors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design and rendering software.
  • Strong communication and management capabilities.
  • Project management experience, including scope creation, scheduling, budgeting, and oversight from design to implementation.
  • Ability to maintain existing client relationships while developing new business opportunities.
