Position Overview: MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is seeking a dedicated Cardiologist to deliver extensive, both invasive and non-invasive, consultative care within our Medical Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough, non-invasive, consultative patient care.
  • Engage in and oversee all facets of cardiac patient management, including outpatient clinics and inpatient wards.
  • Conduct standard non-invasive cardiology assessments such as EKG, rhythm monitoring, echocardiography, and stress testing.
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and the insertion of temporary intravenous pacemaker leads.
  • Participate in the evaluation of patients, determining treatment options, and documenting in electronic health records.
  • May contribute to service-level and hospital committees as required and engage in the facility's peer review program.
  • Maintain professional competence, courtesy, and flexibility while delivering specialty services.
  • Exhibit strong clinical and communication skills with a commitment to academic excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Possess a degree in medicine or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Hold a current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program leading to board certification eligibility.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Preferred Experience: Board eligible or board certified in Cardiology.

Work Schedule: Standard hours, Monday to Friday, with potential adjustments based on the needs of the medical center.
