The Emergency Medical Technician is a critical member of the FirstHealth of the Carolinas team, responsible for providing advanced life support emergency and non-emergency care in the prehospital environment and during ambulance transport of patients. This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in emergency medical procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced life support emergency and non-emergency care to patients in the prehospital environment and during ambulance transport.
- Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest emergency medical procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- NC Paramedic certification.
- Current certification in BCLS, ITLS, or PHTLS, ACLS (or within 6 months of hire).
- Current valid NC driver's license with a good driving history.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for driving privileges.
