We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory care team.
Key Responsibilities- Measure and analyze lung capacity and blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.
- Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as respiratory care policies and procedures dictate.
- Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
- Assess patient condition and deliver appropriate care.
- Provide education to patients and families about respiratory conditions and community resources.
- Monitor and maintain respiratory care supplies and equipment.
- Graduate of a school of Respiratory Therapy.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of employment.
- AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of employment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
