Vascular Ultrasound Technician

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, no weekends or holidays
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vascular Ultrasound Technician is responsible for conducting noninvasive examinations to assess peripheral vascular conditions, including arterial and venous diseases, renal issues, and carotid artery abnormalities. This role involves preparing initial findings and delivering intricate technical care utilizing ultrasound technology for patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Execute noninvasive vascular testing to identify potential health issues.
2. Document and prepare preliminary results for further evaluation.
3. Provide expert technical care with ultrasound equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent experience recognized by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
No prior experience necessary.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Registered as one of the following:
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI)
- Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)]
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient setting as a vascular sonographer.
