Director of Credit Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Credit to join our team at Allied Cooperative. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all credit activities, including investigations, collections, audits, and financial duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate activities of workers engaged in conducting credit investigations and collecting delinquent accounts of customers.
  • Enhance and support overall selling of co-op loan products through professional and courteous interaction with both customer and employee.
  • Create value and yield loan commitments and customer loyalty.
  • Adhere to and not deviate from the credit policy set by the company.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to delegate responsibilities, exhibit leadership, and manage people.
  • Must understand good business practices such as implications of decisions, quality management, cost savings measures, diversity, ethics, and organizational support.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills, math, and computer skills.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism, be adaptable, punctual, dependable. Show initiative and innovation.
  • Observe safety and security procedures.
