Job Summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality vehicles are produced for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install various vehicle interior and exterior parts according to specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures.
  • Assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools, such as drills and screw guns.
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or no supervision.
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistance.
  • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks).
