Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular rounds to observe, assess, document, and communicate any changes in resident conditions.
2. Ensure the effective execution of care plans as outlined.
3. Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely.
4. Collaborate with physicians during rounds and maintain accurate clinical records of visits.
5. Perform narcotic reconciliation during shift transitions.
6. Identify and respond to significant changes in residents' health, adhering to facility protocols.
7. Supervise and support nursing aides in their duties.
8. Complete Incident and Accident Reports in accordance with facility guidelines.
9. Manage resident discharges following established procedures.
10. Conduct Nursing Assessments prior to physician consultations regarding any changes in resident health.
11. Maintain open communication with residents' points of contact regarding health updates or changes.
12. Participate in special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nurses or Administrator.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Completion of a Registered Nurse program from an accredited institution.
Licensing: Must hold an active Registered Nurse license in Texas, in good standing.
Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
