Job Title: Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dental assistant to join our team at South Florida Smile Spa. As a dental assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients to the office and prepare them for treatments or check-ups
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist the dentist during procedures and provide direct or indirect patient care
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed, including pouring models and fabricating whitening trays
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
  • Maintain equipment and order supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as fabricating temporary crowns and bridges
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in dental software programs
  • Proficient in dental radiography
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
  • CPR certification is a must
  • Additional certification or training is an asset, such as EFDA or radiology license
