Position Overview:

We are in search of a talented and experienced Consulting Psychologist to become a vital part of our innovative team within the healthcare sector. This position is perfect for an individual with a profound knowledge of psychological principles who can effectively apply them to elevate patient care standards. As a Consulting Psychologist, your responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments, formulating treatment strategies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. You will engage closely with patients, their families, and other medical staff to address and manage mental health challenges and developmental disorders, including autism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform thorough diagnostic assessments for patients, particularly those with developmental disorders and autism.
2. Offer psychological counseling to patients and their families to facilitate understanding and management of their conditions.
3. Design, implement, and evaluate personalized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and responses.
4. Work in partnership with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver cohesive care for patients.
5. Consult with medical professionals to integrate psychological insights into patient management.
6. Engage in research to remain informed about the latest psychological theories and therapeutic approaches in the healthcare industry.
7. Provide education to healthcare providers and the public regarding mental health and psychological matters.
8. Comply with all professional, ethical, and legal standards as stipulated by the relevant regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

1. A PhD in Psychology from an accredited institution.
2. A valid license to practice as a Psychologist in California.
3. At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within the healthcare sector.
4. Expertise in conducting diagnostic assessments and developing treatment plans.
5. Significant experience working with individuals with developmental disorders and autism.
6. Exceptional communication and consultation abilities.
7. Strong grasp of contemporary research, treatments, and trends in psychology.
8. Capacity to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
9. Firm commitment to ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.
10. Proven ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
11. Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to make informed decisions based on evidence.
12. Proficient in managing time efficiently and prioritizing tasks to meet objectives.
13. Skilled in utilizing software and databases for patient record management and research activities.
