Hydroelectric Supplier Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hydroelectric Supplier Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ Hydropower North America. The estimated annual salary for this role is between $90,000 and $140,000, depending on experience.

About the Role
This critical role involves assessing the quality of equipment and parts supplied by our vendors. You will conduct inspections at supplier locations, follow company guidelines, and maintain quality records and inspection reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the quality of machinery and parts against contract and corporate specifications;
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to represent ANDRITZ Hydro's interests;
- Prepare and maintain quality records and inspection reports;
- Investigate and document the root cause of non-conformances;
- Collaborate with vendors, engineering, project management, and customers to resolve issues;
- Develop and implement NDT techniques and procedures;
- Apply knowledge of Supplier Quality Engineering methodologies and NDT methods for input to design reviews, failure analysis, quality program plans, and construction documentation;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or material science);
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the hydropower industry or equivalent experience in an industrial construction environment;
- NDT/NDE related technical experience;
- CWI or possess the education and experience required to qualify for certification and a working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes;
