Job Title: Electronic Medical Records Specialist - Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Medical Records Specialist to join our healthcare team at Clarinda Regional Health Center.

About the Role

This is a full-time position (32 hours/week) working Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the accuracy of patients' electronic health records by scanning patient documents correctly and timely
  • Answer phones promptly and assist patients needing to obtain their medical records
  • Respond to requests for patient health information
  • Gather patient information and assemble it into one chart per patient encounter
  • Obtain provider signatures as needed for completion, maintain tracking of paperwork until completion, and submit charts for scanning into the electronic medical record
  • Scan orders and test results in a timely manner to ensure coding is completed on time
  • Verify changes as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clerical experience
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
  • Medical Terminology preferred
