Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the First Aid Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide person-centered education to students, assist with day-to-day functions, and provide nursing care to individuals with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students at the First Aid Center using a triage approach
  • Record vital signs and document progress
  • Observe students self-administering medications and document findings
  • Perform treatments as ordered by providers
  • Respond to medical emergencies on campus
  • Document essential findings in the student's medical record
  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Attend meetings as requested
  • Adhere to established protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of TN
  • Possesses knowledge of basic laboratory practices
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Ability to provide clear, concise information in a classroom setting
  • Basic knowledge of electronic data usage
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
