Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $108,000-$128,000, based on a 20-hour workweek. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid basic life insurance, flexible spending accounts for tax savings on eligible healthcare or dependent care expenses, and membership in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).

Job Description

In this part-time Psychiatric Nurse 2 role, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients, including individualized patient assessment and care, participating in therapeutic activities as a facilitator or co-facilitator, administering medications, and educating patients on expected outcomes, possible side effects, and any food/drug interactions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska;
  • Either successful completion of a formal training plan as a Psychiatric Nurse 1 with the State of Alaska, or one year of entry-level experience as a Registered Nurse;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information and situations.
