About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Manage financial closing for funds and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax filing for both funds and corporate entities
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for any necessary entities
  • Vendor Management: Oversee the process for vendor payments and check requests
  • Employee Reimbursements: Oversee the process for employee reimbursements, including managing employee credit card charges and reconciling credit card accounts
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
  • Financial Inquiries: Respond to inquiries from other departments regarding budgets, deposits, disbursements, and financial reports
  • Audit Support: Assist in reconciling all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as indicated by the monthly closing schedule
  • Fund Audit: Oversee the funds audit process
  • Financial Planning: Prepare for general shareholders meetings and board meetings
  • Team Management: Manage the Accounting team
  • Financial Analysis: Track the company's financial and accounting status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Financial Policies: Establish and maintain financial and accounting policies and procedures for the company
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to financial and accounting regulations and legislation
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain relationships with compliance vendors
  • Regulatory Filings: Oversee annual Form ADV amendment filings and other necessary regulatory filings
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Accounting-related roles
  • International Accounting: Experience in consolidated international accounting
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or related fields. An advanced degree is a plus
  • GAAP Knowledge: Knowledge of US GAAP (and JGAAP is a plus)
  • Team Management: Team management experience
  • Fund Accounting: Experience in fund accounting
  • Soft Skills: Self-starter with high attention to detail, proven ability to multitask, and work in a dynamic environment
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and financial management software
  • Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented and analytical
  • Time Management: Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-team environment
  • Deadlines: Ability to work to deadlines with quick turnaround
