Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LVN II to join our Vascular Surgery team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the overall success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing vascular surgery, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
  • Support the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety in delivering optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing.
  • LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse for California-based jobs.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • 1 year recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, various medical procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
