We offer a range of services including health insurance enrollment, assessment, care coordination, case management, professional training, and job preparation and placement services. Role Summary:
The Internship and Placement Coordinator will operate across various locations to deliver comprehensive business development initiatives aimed at generating internships, community service, and alternative engagement opportunities for clients. This role involves conducting outreach efforts to establish and formalize partnerships, working closely with the Supervisor of External Partnerships, and collaborating with other program units to promote opportunities and facilitate client referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and sustain monthly targets by directing clients towards internship, community service, and alternative engagement opportunities.
- Forge partnerships with local businesses through outreach activities, including cold calling and attending community events.
- Formalize partnerships through Memorandums of Understanding and ensure all necessary documentation is secured for management and funder approval.
- Maintain current records and track partnership data regarding enrollment criteria, availability, and liaison contacts for each partner.
- Promote available opportunities to clients during group workshops and individual meetings, collaborating with Client Service Coordinators to ensure effective referrals.
- Engage with clients to discuss internship and job prospects, assist with enrollment processes, and gather feedback post-enrollment from both partners and clients.
- Prepare candidates for enrollment and acceptance into suitable internship and community service assignments.
- Work with the computer lab instructor to assist clients in creating and updating resumes following their completion of internships and community service engagements.
- Provide job leads for clients who have lost employment while enrolled, including referrals to job fairs and workforce centers.
- Update the client resource guide and informational bulletin boards on a monthly basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in vocational rehabilitation, social work, or a related field is preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Work Schedule:
This position requires on-site work across multiple locations.
Compensation:
Annual salary is $53,053.
