Work Schedule:
This role involves a 12-hour shift from 7 AM to 7:15 PM, with alternating weekends off. The starting pay ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. We prioritize a safety-first work environment and provide opportunities for skill enhancement and pay advancement through our operator level program.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of this position is to set up and operate a multi-station gravure coater to produce high-quality products in line with established specifications and output requirements. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting start-up and in-process testing.
- Performing regular visual inspections of materials.
- Executing routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of machinery and rollers.
- Replenishing mixes and solvents during operation.
- Maintaining accurate production records.
- Handling materials and cross-training on other equipment as necessary.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work area while adhering strictly to safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will possess a stable employment history, a collaborative mindset, a willingness to learn, and a proven ability to work safely while producing quality products. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer drug screening and background check.
Essential Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting is preferred. Familiarity with gravure coating, inks, printing, viscosity, hazardous materials, and chemical mixing is desirable but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
- Physical capabilities include frequent walking, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs; occasional standing, sitting, twisting, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; and continuous visual inspection for product quality.
