San Diego Gas and Electric is seeking a skilled Transmission Lineman to join our team. As a Transmission Lineman, you will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining the company's electric transmission system under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Install, operate, and maintain the Company's electric transmission system under direct supervision.
- Operate tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the work.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- Journeyman Lineman possessing IBEW Journeyman Lineman status in good standing.
- Journeyman electrical worker that has completed an accredited apprenticeship program required.
- Must be able to do heavy manual labor lifting a minimum of 60-75 pounds.
- Will be required to work on steel and wood structures.
- Prior climbing experience is required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to absorb formal training and schooling.
- Must demonstrate & maintain good safety habits.
- Will be required to obtain & maintain a Class A CA Driver's license.
- Underground system experience with 200 and 600 AMP systems is desirable.
