Position Overview
AECOM is currently seeking a meticulous Program Cost Analyst to contribute to a significant multi-year initiative in our Atlanta, GA office area. This program encompasses various capital enhancement projects, including safety upgrades, technological advancements, renovations, and new constructions. Our team is dedicated to delivering quality and value in facilities, emphasizing sustainable innovations and best practices to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Assisting the Director in the planning and budgeting of specific portfolios/sub-programs and individual projects.
- Providing effective support for program and project cost forecasting, budgeting, and cost control for a portfolio of multiple projects.
- Developing and managing budgets, financial commitments, cash flows, and expenditure forecasts.
- Ensuring alignment of planned funding with commitments, work authorizations, and forecasted expenditures.
- Identifying and analyzing cost variances affecting project/program budgets and timelines.
- Compiling program and project cost data for monthly reporting to clients and generating other customized reports as necessary.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on changes in budget and cost forecasts that impact program and/or project objectives.
- Utilizing Kahua and other tools for effective program cost control monitoring against established budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in business administration, architecture, or construction management.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project cost analysis or equivalent knowledge and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, including at least 4 years in project cost analysis and cost control.
- Understanding of construction methodologies and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Word, Access, and Excel.
- Experience with Kahua PMIS or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Munis Financial Systems or equivalent.
- Skilled in reviewing and analyzing data and reports within Kahua and Munis Financial systems.
- Experience managing budgets, financial commitments, cash flows, and cost-related data on complex programs.
