We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our dynamic team at SSOE, Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in creating conceptual designs, producing detailed construction drawings, and ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' high-tech and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop detailed structural designs and layouts for high-tech and industrial facilities, including conceptual designs, analysis, and detailed construction drawings, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural components efficiently into overall facility design.
  • Design and Modeling: Design and model utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software to create accurate and precise structural drawings, models, and construction documents.
  • Analysis and Calculations: Perform analysis and calculations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs, considering various load conditions and requirements.
  • Construction Packages: Create comprehensive construction packages including specifications, bill of materials, and technical documentation for fabrication and construction teams.
  • Site Visits and Assessments: Conduct site visits and assessments to verify adherence to design specifications and provide on-site support when necessary.
  • Code Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to structural design, ensuring that all designs adhere to project standards, seismic requirements, and local building codes.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, process/chemical, and architectural to solve design problems and challenges, providing support during construction phases and addressing any design-related queries or modifications as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil engineering is preferred.
  • Software Skills: Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software for structural design and drafting is required; experience with Plant 3D, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other related software systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of associated building codes, seismic design principles/requirements, and experience applying them to real-world projects is required; demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing steel, strut, and/or related structures is a plus.
  • Salary and Benefits: Salary range: $50,000 - $100,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position; benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401K retirement savings plan (with company matching), opportunities for professional development and training, PTO, and paid holidays.
