Position Summary:

The Quality Control Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring that both purchased and manufactured products align with the organization's objectives, comply with legal standards, and meet specifications and customer expectations. This position involves documenting product test results and providing recommendations to achieve optimal product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Federal, State, and other relevant regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Assist with food safety matters, scientific advancements, and industry best practices; report any food safety violations.
  • Maintain and review the effectiveness of GMP, HACCP, Organic, FDA, Kosher, and SQF procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with standards related to Food Safety and Product Quality.
  • Participate in internal audits to confirm adherence to all GMP and SQF standards.
  • Work towards continuous improvement in work processes, testing methods, and process control.
  • Conduct physical and sensory analyses, along with data entry for all green coffee purchases and projects.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and repairs for all analytical equipment.
  • Execute special assignments as directed by the Quality Control Lead.

Compliance:

Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, suppliers, and various departments.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Licensed Q Grader preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with personal computers and software applications.
  • Strong mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent oral comprehension abilities.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills.
  • Effective writing skills tailored to the audience's needs.

Compensation: $20.74 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
