Costing Analyst Job Description

CONMED Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Costing Analyst to join our team. As a Costing Analyst, you will play a critical role in compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial accounting data to support the success of our global medical device company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile miscellaneous balance sheet accounts and manage the cycle count process and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with sales force personnel about demonstration/evaluation equipment.
  • Track and reconcile field equipment and corresponding accounts.
  • Calculate new standard costs during the year.
  • Add and update vendor data in the A/P system.
  • Assist internal and external auditors.
  • Regularly review and ensure the accuracy of inventory/material transactions.
  • Assist in the training of material handlers.
  • Analyze and close all work orders.
  • Perform various month-end closing tasks such as reconciling all cost of good transactions, no charge shipments, scrap, and journalize depreciation expense.
  • Reconcile and manage fixed asset addition/deletion transactions for both internal and statutory purposes.
  • Calculate Budget information on Fixed Asset amortization. Input router and raw material cost changes for budgeting purposes.
  • Provide corporate finance personnel with an AFE schedule (New fixed assets status) on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide P.O. commitment information for the 10K.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 2 years of accounting and/or cost accounting experience required.
Preferred Experience:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MANMAN or another ERP system preferred.
  • About 10% travel is required for this role.
