Position Overview:
The Vex Robotics Program Coordinator at Athletes Global Corporation is tasked with the leadership and management of the Vex Robotics initiative.
This position entails instructing students in grades 5 through 12 on the essential principles of Vex Robotics, encompassing foundational tactics, strategies, and methodologies.
The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing strategies aimed at enriching the Vex Robotics program, nurturing a passion for robotics, and ensuring the program's overall effectiveness.
The Coordinator will collaborate closely with students, guardians, educational staff, and the FACE team to cultivate a comprehensive and inclusive Vex Robotics experience.
With a global network of 26,000 VEX Robotics teams, the VEX Worlds event extends invitations to the most deserving teams. Athletes Global Corporation's VEX team has previously achieved commendable rankings in this competitive arena.
Schedule:
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead, attend, and engage in all weekly club meetings and competitions, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, facilities, and personnel.
- Collaborate with the FACE Team to establish ideal weekly meeting times, supplementary meetings, and annual competition calendars.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Afterschool Programs Manager to discuss effective practices and competition timelines.
- Report to the Afterschool Programs Manager regarding all fundraising initiatives, expenditures (e.g., competitions, travel, supplies), and any agreements with external parties.
- Devise and implement strategies to boost student participation and retention in the Vex Robotics program.
- Foster an environment that enhances skill levels and enthusiasm for Vex Robotics among participants.
- Ensure that students involved in the Vex Robotics club gain valuable insights from their competition experiences while enjoying the process.
Expected Outcomes:
Enhanced enrollment and retention of participants in the Vex Robotics program.
Improved skill levels and enthusiasm for Vex Robotics among program participants.
Successful planning and execution of Vex Robotics tournaments and events.
Engaging and enriching competition experiences for all students, with an emphasis on learning rather than solely winning.
Time Commitment:
Regular meetings and competitions, as determined in collaboration with the FACE Team and Afterschool Programs Manager.
