About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety Intern. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in promoting safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, State and Local regulations and owner/contractual requirements
  • Conduct jobsite inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain safety records, including Job Hazard Analysis, training records, tool box meetings, maintenance of the OSHA 300 log, maintenance of the MSDS and chemical inventory sheets, incident investigations and metrics
  • Develop and implement safety related programs to meet or exceed company safety standards
Requirements
  • Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (Beginning May 27 to August 1)
  • Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships
  • Exceptional communication skills, interest, and enthusiasm related to electrical engineering and/or construction
Location

Must live in Bakersfield or Kern County.

Compensation

$16.50 per hour to $20.00 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
