Job Overview

Position Summary:

VSolvit is in search of a qualified candidate with an Active Secret Clearance for a full-time Financial Systems Analyst I role. This position will provide essential support to NSWC PHD through comprehensive financial analysis, budget formulation and execution, funds management, and related services.

Work Environment:

This role requires 100% on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to link and embed multiple spreadsheets, develop and manipulate pivot tables, and create and edit macros.
  • Work autonomously to deliver professional financial analysis and oversight for various branches, divisions, and projects.
  • Prepare budget analyses and recommendations, presenting findings to management at various levels.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, producing clear and detailed reports.
  • Process and integrate data utilizing established systems, business practices, and approved software applications within the Department of the Navy.
  • Assist in managing incoming and outgoing funding documentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data within the business and financial systems.
  • Collaborate with departments and branch personnel to gather and review necessary supporting documents for fund management.
  • Conduct follow-up actions related to funding documentation.
  • Maintain organized and complete funding document packages.
  • Support program analysts with various tasks and assignments.
  • Analyze and identify significant trends and issues from financial spreadsheets.
  • Keep logs and spreadsheets updated and maintained.
  • Assist with financial assignments and data inquiries.

Additional expectations include adherence to standard working hours, meeting deadlines, compliance with company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, regular communication with supervisors, and maintaining focus on assigned tasks and meetings.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related Business discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, 3 years of hands-on experience with Navy financial and administrative systems and procedures.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial and quantitative analysis, with proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with the DoD or Government environment is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with N-ERP reports and modules.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy and NSWC PHD processes and systems is preferred.
