Job Summary

This role is responsible for working independently to prepare, package, and display deli products in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bake, fry, and package deli products according to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Price, date, wrap, and/or bag deli products to ensure accurate labeling and presentation.
  • Properly fill, rotate, inspect, and merchandise deli shelves, cases, and displays to maintain a clean and attractive store environment.
  • Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking of merchandise to maintain a smooth and efficient supply chain.
  • Have familiarity with all products carried in the department, including knowledge of price, taste, preparation, and use.
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines to minimize waste and maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department to meet customer expectations.
  • Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations to maintain a clean and sanitary store environment.
  • Follow Guest Experience Guidelines to provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of retail or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
