Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to fill in as a substitute teacher at the Bennington Early Childhood Center. As a per diem educator, you will have the opportunity to work on a part-time basis, covering the duties of our regular staff members when they are out sick or attending training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out lesson plans and engage with children aged one to five
  • Assist with daily tasks such as preparing snacks, helping with toileting, and getting children dressed and undressed
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers in the room to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the children
  • Perform light cleaning duties as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred
  • Ability to work well with children and be a responsible and dependable employee
  • Willingness to take online mandated reporter training, Vermont orientation training, and become CPR/first aid certified

Benefits:

  • Paid lunch break for shifts longer than four hours
