As a key member of our Central Sterile Supply department, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and management of day-to-day operations and serving as a resource person for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with staffing, planning, and control of operational functions to meet all areas' requirements.
  • Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of management personnel.
  • Direct and check the work of others, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director, Central Sterile Processing to develop quality monitors, in-service programs, and orientation programs.
  • Identify and address problem areas, such as inefficiencies, equipment issues, staffing issues, and customer complaints.
  • Communicate with the Director of Perioperative Services, OR Resource nurse, and Operating Room Service Team Leaders to assess the current day surgery schedule's flow and plan for the next day's schedule.
  • Clean and decontaminate patient equipment, sterilize instruments and supplies, and assemble instrument procedure trays and case carts.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees and annually provide performance evaluation information to the Assistant Director of Central Sterile.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5-7 years' experience in a lead technician or supervisory position.
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification.
  • CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) certification.
  • CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader) certification within 90 days.

Compensation: $33.21 per hour.
