Position Summary: SimIS Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Security Specialist with a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. The role involves overseeing access control measures to ensure that entry points are effectively monitored, personnel clearances are accurately verified, and only authorized individuals gain access to secure areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update access logs while monitoring the entry and exit of personnel in restricted zones.
  • Utilize exceptional customer service skills to assist individuals in obtaining access permissions and necessary credentials.
  • Screen documents and packages carried by visitors or employees to ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Issue visitor and temporary access badges, accurately completing visitor logs.
  • Responsible for the secure opening and closing of facilities, including the proper handling of combination locks.
  • Complete security documentation related to facility access procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Security Office to implement the Insider-Threat Program, conducting random inspections as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
  • General understanding of Department of Defense security protocols.
  • Experience with clearance verification systems to ensure authorized access.
  • Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems and access control technologies.
  • Ability to perform emergency procedures, including CPR and AED usage.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capacity to make swift decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
