Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Westlake is seeking a highly skilled Quality Supervisor to join our team in Shelby Township, MI. As a Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and adhering to our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a quality production program to ensure conformity to quality standards.
  • Train new operators on quality requirements, including critical characteristics, measurement tools, and aesthetic attributes.
  • Maintain current reference documentation for use by operators.
  • Represent the company during audits and coordinate sample submissions.
  • Review quality trends, track root causes, and coordinate correction procedures.
  • Provide technical and quality support to supervisors and the plant manager.
  • Monitor inspection and testing of finished products.
  • Initiate and recommend procedures for establishing new or revised quality standards.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is correct and retained for the specified amount of time.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in quality control is required.
  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in PVC injection molding.
  • Statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies are essential for this position.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for training, direction, performance evaluations, and other supervisory functions of personnel in the QA department.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
