About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Support Professional - Dermatology Clinic Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support in our dermatology clinics. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support in our dermatology clinics, including vital sign monitoring, laboratory specimen collection, and administration of medications.
  • Assist clinicians with patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment, including vital sign monitors, ECG machines, and other clinical devices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, engage patients in their care, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required; certification in phlebotomy, ECG, or other clinical specialties a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a dermatology clinic or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and office software.
