Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to lead our team of advanced practice clinicians. As a CRNA Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction, guidance, and feedback to ensure high-quality patient care. You will also be responsible for assembling necessary supplies and equipment, administering anesthetics, and monitoring patient reactions and vital signs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical direction and guidance to advanced practice clinicians
  • Assemble necessary supplies and equipment for anesthesia procedures
  • Administer anesthetics and monitor patient reactions and vital signs
  • Develop and maintain orientation plans, work improvement plans, and clinical competencies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop quality improvement plans with physicians
  • Collaborate with professional and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Act as a liaison for communication between ancillary departments and participate in meetings/updates with Coding and Billing, Compliance, Pharmacy, and other specialties

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
  • Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in providing and coordinating care for patients with acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions as a nurse anesthetist or in a leadership capacity
