Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water Engineer/Management Consultant to join our Resilience Water Team and work on a variety of engagements with our Water Asset Management practice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and communication skillset, with experience in data processing, data cleaning, and data analytics. They will also have a good understanding of water and wastewater process equipment, distribution, and collection system assets.

The Water Engineer/Management Consultant will work as part of the National Asset Management Team to plan and deliver asset management solutions for our clients. This will involve working on a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments, and capital improvement planning.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to take on new projects, learn new skills independently, and troubleshoot issues. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments, and capital improvement planning.
  • Perform analyses on large utility datasets, including GIS, CMMS, condition inspection databases, capacity assessment/hydraulic modeling, etc.
  • Develop and review technical reports and presentations for projects.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and client staff to perform business process/work method assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analyses, and generate reports.
  • Design and implement analytics and dashboard platforms.
  • Database design, development, and database management for SQL Server or Oracle.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management.
  • 3 years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience with a medium/large municipal utility.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and team management skills.
  • Data processing, data cleaning, and data analytics skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include data analytics experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other relevant programs, and understanding of water and wastewater process equipment, distribution, and collection system assets.
