About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced linguist to join our team at Leidos. As a linguist, you will be responsible for processing materials and participating in situations requiring general professional capabilities. Your expertise will be essential in translating reports and texts, interpreting accurately, and transcribing audio or internet materials with a high degree of accuracy and expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing intended implications and nuances.
  • Interpret accurately, with a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
  • Transcribe audio or internet materials with a high degree of accuracy and expression.
  • Prepare reports with excellent English-language written communication skills.

Requirements

  • BA/BS and/or equivalent formal military training and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Target and English.
  • Linguists who are proficient in multiple languages are strongly desired.
  • Travel OCONUS is a REQUIREMENT on this program.

Pay Range: $68,550.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
