$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Job
The Medical Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for enrollment of eligible hospital patients into the Third Party Health Insurance Premium Payment Program (HIPP) at our Hospital partners in Las Vegas, NV. This role will help high cost and medically complex Medicaid beneficiaries afford the cost of employer-sponsored health insurance utilizing this added Medicaid benefit. The ideal candidate will have a self-starting attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, key hospital personnel, and other appropriate individuals.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the patient services team to ensure seamless transition of care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Nursing, Education, or Psychology preferred and Master's degree is preferred.
- Five years of internal patient-related, hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to speak English as well as Spanish is preferred. Fluency in Spanish a big plus.
- Must pass hospital credentialing including all vaccines, drug & alcohol testing.
