Job Title: HDDC Sales Specialist

The Home Depot Design Center is a cutting-edge interactive showroom experience that offers endless inspiration to customers. Our showroom features 30+ interactive kitchen, bath, and laundry rooms, showcasing products from innovative brands in appliances, cabinetry, fixtures, and more.

Job Summary:

HDDC Sales Specialists (Appliance, Bath, or Flooring) provide exceptional customer service by offering information on product features, advantages, and benefits. They make suggestions about related merchandise, provide information about and sell extended service protection plans, and assess customer needs to provide assistance. These associates must possess strong teamwork and follow-up skills to work with their team to process customer transactions from pre-qualification to delivery, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively greet clients in the product showroom and partner with Product Demonstrators to showcase products, services, and related products.
  • Assist clients and designers with special orders and installed sales, promoting services offered in other departments as needed.
  • Follow up with clients via telephone when appropriate and resolve client complaints or involve the appropriate manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • 2+ years of Retail, Specialty Retail, Outside Sales, or product experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and with a team, and possess sales aptitude, including the ability to close the sale, presentation skills, initiative/persistence, adaptability, and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
