Job Overview

The Production Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing plant operations by engaging in problem-solving, electrical integration, and drafting with AutoCAD. This position is essential for providing engineering support and overseeing project management within manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Ø Core Duties:

· Deliver support on the shop floor and during projects to manufacturing teams, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

· Offer assistance across diverse manufacturing domains as needed.

· Maintain effective communication with Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Accounting teams.

· Establish tolerances and specifications for machinery in production settings.

· Leverage knowledge of emerging technological advancements to improve existing manufacturing tools.

· Apply Lean Principles to enhance equipment and production systems (Value Stream Mapping).

Ø Additional Duties:

· Assist in budgeting for capital and operational expenditures related to shop floor support, contributing to departmental objectives.

· Help coordinate maintenance activities related to project work.

· Manage product routings in SAP, including part number allocations, material usage, waste, and labor tracking.

Qualifications

v A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

v Preferred: A minimum of three years of technical experience in mechanical or electrical roles within a manufacturing environment.

v Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.

v Preferred: Familiarity with SAP integrated software.

v Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, Microsoft Windows, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.

v Required: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

v Required: Knowledge of contemporary technology trends for equipment enhancement.

v Current understanding of Allen Bradley software (ControlLogix, SLC 500); programming/design and troubleshooting experience is advantageous.

v Experience in industrial electronics and mechanics is essential.

v Hydraulic expertise is a plus.

v Capability to manage multiple projects and develop detailed action plans.

v Beneficial: Experience with budget management for expenses and capital.

v Strong organizational skills for planning and executing projects effectively.

v Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

v High levels of loyalty and personal integrity are expected.

v Ability to collaborate in a team environment with colleagues at all levels.

v Capacity to perform essential job functions.
