Overview

This is a medical support services position in Columbus, NM, supporting a U.S. Government Customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical history and physical assessments.
  • Perform vital signs electronically and manually, as needed.
  • Obtain medical histories and complete necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities.
  • Assist with medical appointments, medical/mental health emergencies, and document all care provided.
  • Coordinate healthcare needs of patients with other staff members or custody, as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified NR Paramedic in the United States.
  • Must be currently licensed to practice as a Nationally Registered Paramedic in the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Must hold current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is encouraged, but not required.
  • Experience in detention/correctional or pediatric settings is encouraged, but not required.

Work Environment

  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be required to travel on short notice.
  • May be required to serve at various medical units within a sector/region.
