Job Summary:The County Designated Crisis Responder will conduct involuntary treatment evaluations, initiate holds and commitments when necessary, and provide crisis outreach services throughout Clark County. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:- Conduct involuntary treatment evaluations and initiate holds and commitments when necessary
- Provide crisis outreach services throughout Clark County
- Work closely with local hospitals, inpatient facilities, law enforcement, and mobile crisis teams
- Assess individuals in crisis, gathering evidence and making decisions regarding psychiatric hospitalization or referral to other services
- Prepare witness statements, serve subpoenas, and testify at court hearings
- Coordinate the processing of involuntarily committed individuals through the legal system
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral science or registered nurse
- Two or more years of clinical experience in the field
- Three years of experience as a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) worker
- Active, approved credential from the Washington State Department of Health
- Meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP)
