Mechanical Design Engineer

At Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical systems and devices for boilers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software to design and develop mechanical systems and devices.
- Conduct simulations using tools to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Contribute to the development of innovative mechanical solutions.
- Review current designs and components prior to daily release to production.
- Generate drawings and submittals.
- Coordinate with shop foreman, sales team, QC manager, and other parties involved in the whole process.
- Prepare and maintain records of manufacturer's data reports.
- Review material test reports for items received at the factory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis, 5-10 years of experience.
- Knowledge of ASME codes (Part 1, 4, and 8) and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience in understanding and using formulas to calculate, when required, to comply with local and ASME codes and regulations for pressure vessels and tanks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
